Sober is the New Black: a Conversation about Fashion, Mental Health, and Sobriety is a virtual roundtable discussion that will feature models, designers, stylists, and fashion lovers who all discuss their experiences of the fashion industry and its views on mental health and sobriety.

Our panelists include: Editor in Chief of Soberocity and Creative Director of LadyCat, Alexandra Nyman, Founder of Apparel and Accessories brand Doing It Sober, Daniella Park, Lalita Burton and Ashley Roxxanne Perkins of Recovery Life Apparel, and Founder and CEO of Love Disorder, Andre Styles.

This panel will be held on Friday, October 29th at 7pm EST and is free to all. We do offer a $5.00 general admission ticket that also goes towards the programming of more panels such as this one. We do our best to offer as many free events as we can, any contribution made will ensure we can continue to offer low to no cost events in the future. 

You can also become a patron on our Patreon for updates and offers on events as well as the ability to grab tickets one week before they go on sale to the general public.

The Panelists

Alexandra Nyman: Alexandra has dressed and designed for influencers such as Niki and Gabi DeMartino, Naty Ashba, Christy-Ann Lopez, Janira Obregon, Gabby Fe, Lindz West (of LZ7), Rachael Bawn, and more. Specializing in apparel and accessory design, Alexandra has also lent her skills to professional film sets as a costume designer and stylist, dressing the likes of Method Man, Brian Anthony Williams, Mischa Barton, Eric Roberts, Dee Wallace, Gabrielle Stone, and many more. 

Alexandra is a fierce advocate for mental health and addiction recovery, she donated 15% of the proceeds from her first collection, Therapy, to the Trevor Project. She will be showcasing her latest collection, Therapy Revisited, on February 12th, 2022 through a showcase, Break Free NYFW, she is organizing to feature designers who are also advocates for addiction recovery and mental health in the efforts of continuing the conversation of how the fashion industry addresses these issues. Daniella Park: Daniella Park is a wife, sales expert, business owner, marketer, speaker, blogger, recovery advocate, top achiever at Coast to Coast Computer Products Inc., and the creator of the recovery 12 step store and clothing brand “Doing It Sober.” Growing up in Hollywood, Daniella worked as a stunt woman, stand-in, producer, manager, and former Vice President of “legendary star maker” Jay Bernstein Productions.
